The Main House is slowly but surely looking more like “Home”! Reply

Pictures of some of the work done so far.. finally our house is starting to look like “home”; much better put-together…

There are a lot of little details to be finished yet but the House is definitely now livable.

The Porch posts still need finishing on the tips of it, then lighting installed. I didn’t like the fact that on the spot, the contractor had to add a steel pipe as added support for the beams of the Porch roof, unplanned. It look ugly and out of character for the image outcome I want the Porch to look.. disappointed here a little, but maybe I can do something when I go back. The inside of the roof also need some painting still. Contractors are a very big disappointment if you hire the wrong ones!

Before I left, I had the Dirty Kitchen construction started. Still a different contractor. I was hoping it would be finished when I go back in July. Well, that’s not going to be. Just as well, as I want to ok every detail of it to my specs. This little building would be the nerve center of the Main House, and maybe for now at least, of the whole property. It will be the Kitchen, the Dining Hall, Coffee House, and Social Center, all in-one.
All these, to spare my House the mess! Ha ha!

Still waiting for more pics to come…

I am very fond of the Stacker Door the Bradnams people put in for us. Bradnams is a windows/ doors company off of Australia with a showroom and manufacturing site in Manila. Imagine how many hours these glass doors and windows, and its installers traveled to get to us?

You know- I found out, it is great slimming thing to supervise all these! Yargg!
